Is there a file size limit?

Since processing happens in the browser, very large files (e.g. over 500MB) might cause the browser to slow down or run out of memory. For small to medium files, it is instant.

Can I calculate MD5?

Currently we support SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512 as they are natively supported by modern browsers for maximum security and speed. MD5 is considered cryptographically broken and should be avoided for security purposes.
